Goldsmiths' Contract Award

 Goldsmiths' Centre The Goldsmiths Company has awarded Rainbow Cleaning with the contract for its new £17.5m development in the heart of Clerkenwell.

The Goldsmiths' Centre is a new charity established by the Goldsmiths' Company, offering educational and various training opportunities through the Goldsmiths' Institute. The redeveloped building offers a variety of facilities such as managed workspace, exhibition and conference facilities and an onsite café. Work on the Clerkenwell based centre began in May 2010, and the building works were completed and handed over to the trustees in January 2012.

It was in the summer of 2011 that Rainbow Cleaning was invited to tender for the cleaning. At that stage the centre was very much a building site, therefore we had to utilise a combination of site visits, subsequent client meetings, and site plans, to finalise the cleaning specification to meet the needs of the eventual building users.

In late 2011, just before the completion of the building the award was offered. Rainbow Cleaning was delighted to be awarded the cleaning contract of such a prestigious new development.

Richard Lee (Business Development Manager) who secured the contract said "to have been appointed a contract like The Goldsmiths Centre in the heart of such a vibrant area is fantastic news for Rainbow Cleaning.
